It seeks to build collaborative leadership and enhance patient care in Dubai’s health system.
Dubai Health has officially launched the Dubai Health Leadership Academy, an initiative aimed at developing a robust pipeline of leadership talent within the healthcare sector.
The academy, unveiled at the Etihad Museum, seeks to foster a collaborative leadership culture and improve patient care standards across Dubai’s academic health system.
Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of MBRU, said that the Academy aligns with the vision of the Dubai Health Board and aims to prepare leaders to face future healthcare challenges.
Dubai Health has also introduced its first program, the Systems Leadership Program (SLP), in partnership with Oxford Saïd Business School. The SLP, agreed upon in April 2023, will provide participants with skills to handle complexity and drive innovation in healthcare.
Dr. Eleanor Murray from Oxford Saïd noted that the program is designed to develop leaders who can transform healthcare delivery. Professor Alawi Alsheikh-Ali of Dubai Health noted that the program supports their mission to integrate care, learning, discovery, and giving.
The 14-month SLP will engage 200 participants in modules on leadership, innovation, patient safety, and performance culture.
The program includes personalised coaching and insights from Oxford Saïd experts.
