About 6,000 healthcare industry executives, scientists, engineers, physicians and investors from 45 countries are expected at the Biomed Israel life science and health-tech conference in Tel Aviv, May 16-18.

This is the 21st consecutive edition of Biomed Israel, billed as the largest meeting venue for healthcare professionals from Israel with their international colleagues and partners.

The three-day event presents opportunities for business networking aimed at joint projects that can shape the future of healthcare. Hundreds of Israeli life-science companies will exhibit their innovative products.

The conference is co-chaired by Ruti Alon, founder and CEO of Medstrada Venture Capital; Ora Dar, PhD, senior expert on medical sciences and health innovation; and Dr. Nissim Darvish, managing partner of Eliraz Ventures.

“The first and foremost objective of Biomed Israel is to boost collaborations between the innovative health-tech ecosystem in Israel and the global life science industry,” said Alon.

“Senior executives and delegations from multinationals, big pharma, medical devices, tech giants and international investors in the health industry come to Israel each May to ‘shop for’ innovation in the field, in search for creative solutions, products and technologies, and the next big thing.”

She noted that this year’s conference includes practical workshops in the fields of regulation and reimbursement.

“We are also focusing on prevention and looking into the future of health innovation, in the longevity and precision nutrition tracks, for example, and have included a plenary talk on quantum computing,” she added.
