Freehold, N.J.-based CentraState Medical Center reported experiencing technical problems related to an IT security issue on Dec. 30, according to a statement on the hospital’s website.
“We are investigating the cause and impact at this time. Patient care has not been adversely affected,” according to the statement.
A spokesperson from the hospital told the local news outlet New Jersey 101.5 that new patients were diverted to other facilities on Dec. 30 as a precautionary measure. The hospital also notified the state department of health and FBI.
