Siemens Healthineers inks partnerships with IISc, HealthCare… Leave a comment

Siemens Healthineers has announced strategic partnerships with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG), and Narayana Health (NH). These partnerships are big steps in making India an innovation centre for Siemens Healthineers globally.

The company continues to build on its committed investment of Rs 1,300 crore (€160 million) to establish a new campus housing research and development, manufacturing, and sales, and an innovation centre. 

The collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) aims to drive research and co-creation of technologies that improve imaging, and address access to care. Speaking about the partnership, Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director, IISc said, “As IISc is opening up a new frontier of clinical research with the establishment of the IISc Medical School and Bagchi-Parathasarathy Hospital, this partnership with Siemens Healthineers will strengthen our focus in integrating science, engineering and medicine. This partnership will also enable our researchers to invent technologies for better and affordable healthcare outcomes.“

Further, Narayana Health’s partnership with Siemens Healthineers will focus on advancing cardiovascular care and digital transformation in healthcare by building on the capabilities from both organizations. 

The partnership with HealthCare Global Enterprises aims to make cancer care more personalized through the application of diagnostic imaging technologies and artificial intelligence.
