OHSU and GRU bargaining teams are very pleased to announce that a ratified agreement has been made for a new four-year contract on Thursday, Aug. 31.

After coming to a tentative agreement on Aug. 16, the highlights from the new agreement include:

  • Increases to stipends over the life of the contract for School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health: $37,593 effective two full pay periods following ratification, $40,000 in July 2024, $40,700 in July 2025, and $41,100 in July 2026.
  • A lump sum payment upon ratification.
  • An increase to OHSU’s contribution to dependent insurance coverage.
  • A reduction to out-of-pocket deductibles for healthcare benefits.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion protections and definitions in the contract.

Stipend increases are effective the second full pay period after ratification, which is Sept. 28, and will be paid on Oct. 13. The lump sum payment will also be paid on Oct. 13 to those GRs that were in the bargaining unit at the time of ratification.

Thanks to both bargaining teams and the bargain preparation team for their time spent reaching this agreement.
