DANVILLE, Pa. – Neighborly, an easy-to-use online search tool for free and reduced-cost community resources, has launched a new mobile app for Apple and Android devices.
Geisinger began using the Neighborly platform in March 2020, and the site has since seen over 170,000 searches for local resources for food, housing assistance, childcare, transportation, utility assistance, healthcare and other social needs. The platform links to more than 17,000 free and reduced-cost programs in Pennsylvania.
“This new mobile app allows Neighborly to be more accessible to our communities,” said Allison Hess, Geisinger’s vice president of health innovations. “We also encourage local community and social service organizations to use the app to simplify the process of connecting those they serve with the resources they need.”
