Wendy Powell, CEO & Founder of MUTU, is on a mission to restore dignity, function, and confidence to every mother who feels ‘less than’ after having a baby.
More than 90% of women say they did not feel prepared for postpartum recovery. Before creating the MUTU System program over 15 years ago, Wendy served as a certified postnatal trainer for women. After having her two children, she realized the need for better support for moms, especially following traumatic birth, and decided to create a solution which provided what she had needed during and after her own pregnancies.
For mothers seeking physical and emotional support, MUTU — which joined StartUp Health in 2022 — is an evidence-based mobile and web community engaging and empowering women to lead healthy, strong, and more-confident lives. MUTU System is a proprietary web and mobile platform for moms in all phases of postpartum care, with specific applications for recovery and strengthening.
